Do you know what to do? #1 LEAVE THE NOZZLE IN THE GAS TANK FILLER. If you remove the NOZZLE, two things will happen for sure. 1) the gas in the NOZZLE will spill flaming gas everywhere. 2) You will let more air into the vehicles gas tank. Know where the emergency shut off is, and turn it off. Tell the station personnel and call 911. Weather or not you want to try and put it out with a fire extinguisher is up to you. If you do use the extinguisher, get upwind if possible & don't stand in any gas! Pull the pin in the extinguisher, aim at base of fire, use the entire extinguisher. Most extinguishers are dry chemical that dispence a dry powder. Make small circular motions while spraying the dry chemical. It is best to let someone who is trained to put it out.
