Maybe boycotting a gas station in a small town with 3 stations may work....
People...let's do it!

I have a station I stopped going to because, when they got busy, they made no attempt to control traffic trying to come at the pumps from all directions, until I got to the pump and they told me I was facing the wrong way, yet my filler was on the side the pump was on. I said I had been in line, waiting patiently as they served the 10 cars in front of me, and some of the cars that cut in from both ends, and it was ludicrous to tell me at that point I was facing the wrong way. I guess the kid got mad when I suggested maybe the cars in front of me were their friends. I told him I had been buying gas there for about 10 years, but if I drove away without being served I was never returning. I have never returned.
That is not a boycott, per se, it is a personal decision to avoid some place I felt slighted. I worked all my life helping clients, I know it is a lot harder to get a new client than to make an existing one happy. Obviously that kid never learned that lesson.
My other regular stations, I am greeted with a smile, and served promptly. If they are really busy, and I start the fill myself, I get a thanks, maybe a free drink, and sometimes even an extra gift if there is a giveaway going on. I will even pay a penny or two more per litre to be treated like that.

a boycott of a local station would only hurt them if no one bought gas there for a week or more. Good luck getting everyone in town to not buy gas from 1 particular place though.

Your local station won't even notice a one day boycott.

Yes, I will boycott it if hitting $4.00 a gallon. Do not vote for Obama on next term! We have plenty of oil in our US soil!
