Hi everyone! Newbie here.

Is anyone aware of how we can get in touch with fuel dealers in this state?
I noticed on the front page (and driving around) that we have what seem to be out of whack when comparing other places. For instance, every other state is seen as prices dropping while VT is neutral.

Is there any consensus out there whether our prices are artificially higher than elsewhere?

Judge,

There is a feature under the Gas Prices tab where you can chart price movement. Running VT for the last three years against the national average shows you steadily ~15 cents above national average. I'd guess - and it is just a guess - that distance from refineries is the driver.
Looking at your one month average, both VT and the US are down 20 cents. Maybe the area of the state has a slower turnover? Your state average says you are dropping in line with expectations.

What do you mean by fuel dealers, JudgeVT? Retailers? Wholesale distributors? Refiners? And what do you expect them to tell you? Different issues can affect gas prices in different areas of the country. In South Carolina, we have historically had some of the lowest prices in the country. Right now, several stations in my town are below $2.80/gal., with sub-$3/gal. gas available almost everywhere. I read here recently that there were some refinery issues on the west coast that was keeping CA and OR gas prices high. So as Maxstar suggested, post your question in your local discussion forum. Hopefully someone in there is familiar with your local fuel market and can shed some light on the situation. In the meantime, welcome to Gas Buddy.
