You're a knucklehead to lease a car.

buy. a lease will result in you being fleeced. leasing is the most expensive way to operate a vehicle. leasing is basically a long term, expensive rental. just wait until you return the vehicle. you get to pay for every dent, ding, and scratch.

Buying. When you lease you dont have to have as much money upfront as with buying. But with a lease you will be charged for common items of wear and tear. Brakes, tires, etc. By the time your done with your lease and you decide to keep it; it ends up costing you more money in the long run.
Buying it is better.

Buy. Leasing was explained to me as follows: "I sell it to one person and then take it back and sell it to another person."

It's never cheaper in the long run to buy new, but if you must then leasing is the worst option. Do the simple math on it. You pay nearly the whole value of the vehicle over 4 or 5 years at which point any decent car is still worth about 1/2 its sticker.

OWNING usually a way better option if it is not a "company car". Cost per year of ownership a more solid investment than leasing.

IMO, research thoroughly, take your time in the selection process, BUY it new (or very slightly used) and drive the wheels off it!

Leased a car many years ago and in 18-months, was upside down in it.

If you plan on keeping your car for a while, then buy. If you change cars like you change clothes, then lease.
