There are very valid reasons to allow people in moving vehicles to use a cell phone and then your broad brush law will likely delay notification of the authorities in emergency situations. >Too many folks breaking the law and talking/texting/whatever on their bloody devices.< Using a cell phone is not against the law in the City of Houston. Guess you must actually live in one of the nanny state suburbs. >Impound the car and lock up the drivers if they're caught.< Sounds like an approach the Nazis would have approved.

As I recall UOP holds the patents for Unocal's "California forumulated" RUG, and has played hardball with other refiners in licensing negotiations. After reforumulated RUG was mandated, only Unocal could come up with a working formula that was economically feasible. Chevron tried to get it by buying Unocal and screwed up, which they do a lot.

Hi, you made a great post today on the news item: "Controversial motor fuel with more ethanol raises concerns". My thoughts are: Blending E-10 is good because it reduces the amount of poisonous carbon monoxide produced by all internal combustion engines. Increased amounts of ethanol provide no additional health benefits, significantly reduce MPG and can harm most engines and fuel systems. No MORE Food or Feed for Fuel!!!
