yes, propane is compressed natural gas, and converting a diesel engine to run on propane is a fairly easy process.

Innovation IS happening here at home though, that's why some people are getting 30 to 50 mpg from pickups and why some are getting over 100 mpg from hybrids. Even more is possible with the hybrids than what they're getting now if they did more. You won't see the innovation come out of the automakers, not here, not Europe, not Asia or anywhere. Well, except for companies like Aptera and their vehicles.

D...I did say ya are on the right track with natural gas but, what & how ya wrote implied feeding natural gas into said Diesel motor. Nothing was said about conversion. Being able to run on natural is a good thing.

Diesel trucks can not use Natural gas. They can use Bio Diesel, but not gasoline, nor natural gas.
